To assume the role of facilities manager and associated budgets, to liaise with contractors, to create site diagrams, to oversee site contracts i.e. cleaning catering, security etc to manage a facilities teams ensuring planned preventative maintenance programmes where up kept. To forecast and budget for utilities and all other facilities spend implementing cost saving initiatives.

Case Study 2 - The Requirement
A medium size furnishings company required a safety audit to highlight areas of concern followed by a schedule of visits to assist an already stretched resource.
Proposed Solution
To attend site and undertake a free safety audit, the findings of which to then be discussed with the management team to arrange for a schedule of visits in which to undertake Health and Safety tasks.
Implementation
A schedule of one day a week for the first three months followed by one day a month and finally one day a quarter was devised in which to undertake the amendment and creation of Safety policies, safe systems, method statements undertake risk assessments, provide training programmes encouraging employees to take a more responsible role towards Health and safety.

A health and safety management programme based on compliance and shared responsibility by key personnel overseen by a competent manager
Case Study 3 - The Requirement
Small facilities company required and annual auditing of all Health and Safety programmes in their facilities in the London and south coast.
Proposed Solution
To undertake Health and safety audits of the facilities required and to provide reports to the senior management highlighting areas of additional control and continual improvement.
Implementation
A three day programme involving two days of site visits providing information for a day of report writing. Once finished a site meeting with senior management to discuss the report.
Solution
A full audit that not only highlighted areas of non conformity due to legislation change but also praise for the systems in place and the work undertaken by employees responsible for the up keep of the system.
Case Study 4 - The Requirement
A medium size plant installation company required safety plans to complete a tender.
The safety plan in compliance with the Construction (Design and Management) Regulations.
Proposed Solution
To accompany an engineer to site and undertake a day of surveys and reports in which to create a safety plan outlining the elimination or control of hazards in the construction phase of the installation. To then create a plan that would be used as part of the works.
Implementation
Attended the site having previously made arrangements to meet all parties and discuss the individual disciplines and their undertakings.
To survey the site undertook risk assessments and devise method statement, safe systems of work that would be used during the construction phase.
To create a report detailing all relevant information and make available.
Solution
Delivered safety plan to client to accompany client's detailed outline of works to enable works to start and be carried out safely and in compliance with the CDM regulations. .
